Jerry's fans have been doing a lot of charity works in the name of Jerry since 2001, mainly focusing on children knowing that Jerry cares a lot abt kids. For the past few years, there have been an ongoing project of supporting poor children in China so that they can finish school. Remember during the Oral B meet in China, the fans arranged for 1 kid representing the rest of the kids sponsored by Jerry's fans to meet Jerry???
Accdg to China Times of 12/23, for Jerry's coming birthday, the fans have gathered China Yuan 200,000 which is equivalent to NT$900,000 (US$27,000.00) to continue to sponsor poor children in their studies. It also mentioned abt Jerry going to Mongolia when he was spokesperson for World Vision for children

According to news, since the filming of HS, Jerry has gained 2kg of weight, although each meal he stops eating at 60% full, as the filming contains a lot of actions. Mao Liang said that the weight gain may be due to more meals throughout the day.

China Times reported that in order to celebrate Jerry's 31st birthday, yanchengxu.net has raised about RMB$200,000 (NT$900,000) for rebuilding a primary school in Mainland China. A contract has been signed and a ceremony was held today, and this primary school is formally renamed as "Yan Cheng Xu Chun Lei Primary School". It was reported that Jerry was really touched after knowing this birthday gift from fans saying "what a wonderful surprise it is".
